GROUP - C : TEACHING ABILITY
Each candidate shall complete ten lessons in internal teaching and ten lessons in school, besides two lessons in class room teaching in a school. There shall be supervision at the practice of teaching. Final teaching shall consist of one lesson each in General Activity and Specific Activity. In order to pass, a candidate must pass in all the three Groups of Examination, viz., (A) Theoretical, (B) Practical and (c) Teaching Ability separately. The minimum pass marks in each group shall be 40% and the successful candidates those obtaining 60% in the aggregate shall be placed in the first, those obtained 50% or above but below 60% in the aggregate shall be placed in the second class and the rest shall be declared to have passed without class. The subjects and allotment of marks for the examination shall be as follows:

The external examination of Group B comprising of IB Rhythmics, Formal Activities and Apparatus Drill, Individual Sports and Swimming / Combatives; III B Team Games consisting of 490 marks will be conducted by an external examiner/examiners and a member / members of the teaching staff of the college. The external examiner /examiners shall be appointed by the University authorities. Marks on other activities of Group B comprising of 110 marks under IA – Intramural competition and cultural activities, officiating in Games and Sports, National Ideals & citizenship, Celebration of National Day / Festivals, Outdoor Education, Activity Work Book & Physical Fitness shall be awarded to each candidate for proficiency in each activity and shall be recorded by the principal on the recommendation of the concerned Teacher/ Teachers-in-charge after a conference with him / them and/ or by holding test where necessary, marks obtained internally shall be forwarded to the university as soon as possible for tabulation work. Arrangement shall be made for giving opportunities to the trainees to witness and supervise games and sports and to conduct athletic meets, competitive games and sports, aquatics etc. Intermural and Extermural competition and for participation in cultural activities and outdoor education programme.

Final Teaching Examination:
This external examination (Final Teaching Examination) shall consist of lessons of age groups as given below to be conducted by an external examiner / examiners and member/members of the teaching staff of the college. The external examiner/examiners shall be appointed by the University authorities.
Age Group:
11 plus to 16 plus General Activity Lessons – 40 Marks
11 plus to 16 plus Specific Activity Lessons – 40 Marks
Assessment of Internal Teaching:
Fifty marks will be awarded internally by day to day observations during mock teaching. Another fifty marks will be awarded by the principal after a conference with the member of the teaching staff after teaching practice in schools including preparation of lesson notes.
Assessment of class room Teaching:
Twenty marks will be awarded by the principal after a conference with the member of the teaching staff after class room teaching in schools.
The marks of all the assessment made internally shall be forwarded to the university as soon as possible for tabulation works.
